0 A.D. Alpha 8, Haxāmaniš, is released!
This release introduces the mighty Persian Empire, and with them - two brand new tracks, featuring myself on oud, saz, darbuka and misc. percussion.
Also included in the alpha 8 score, is the game's first neutral peace track, "The Road Ahead", featuring a flute solo by the wonderful Marta Mc'Cave!
Listen to these brand new tracks (and more!) at the Bandcamp Page!

As 2011 slowly comes to a close... 12/11/2011

At the end of every year, more specifically, December 4th of every year, my own birthday leaves me in a rather reflective mood.
As a composer, I accumulate so much new music every year, that it's almost hard to keep track of it all!
So here's a quick review of the projects I finished this year that are closest to my heart :)

My band, The Assembly has released a 100% independent, 7 track E.P., "Running", featuring 3 texts and 7 compositions by myself.
I've composed scores for several indie films, most notably - Todd L. Green's comedy, "After the Thunder", which is my first IMDb credit, and Zvika Almog's "Eternal Journey", which was also my first 100% live performed movie score!
Have also played guitars and contributed some music to Evyatar Halimi's comedy, "Pizza Place from the Past".
Pain of Salvation pianist, Fredrik Hermansson had recorded my original composition, "Counting the Years", which was exsiting for me as he is one of my idols!
I came on board an open-source video game project called "0 A.D.", as the new music team lead I re-wrote the score from the ground up, and the game saw three Alpha releases that were heavy with musical content, including a brand new Main Theme, and two new realms of sound explored with the Carthaginians (Alpha 7) and Persians (Alpha 8)!
I've composed a score for Hadas Noam's awesome fighting game, "Witch", which was made entirely with stop-motion, hand-made woolen puppets!
Joseph Traynor and Omri Lahav's "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" (revisited) saw the curtain rise in Glasgow, Scotland, and was a huge success!
I've composed the theme and score for Sudoku Force, by the Israeli "Yes!" TV network.
Another new collaboration this year is the eternal rocker, Hank Lakee, and I was privileged to record the electric guitars on his debut solo album, "Lazuz Kadima" (Moving Forward).
In the field of iPhone apps, I've produced and performed the loops for a musical game called "The Band", there's a funky demo track if you're curious :)

I will keep this list partial for obvious reasons, and all I can hope for is that you enjoy the above music as much as I did, it represents a year of my life, and I am proud of it :)
