0.A.D. Alpha 7, Geronium is officially released!
This immensely improved version of the game features lots of new music from me, and I'm very excited about it :)
"Honor Bound", a brand new 0.A.D. main theme, featuring a flute solo from Marta Mc'cave, "Dried Tears", defeat music track, two peace tracks for the newly introduced civilization of Carthage - "Peaks of Atlas", and "Mediterranean Waves", both featuring amazing performances by percussionist Dror Parker!
Last but not least, the Hellenic Tribes' peace track, "Forging a City-state" has been re-done and now includes an improvisation by flutist Marta Mc'Cave, and the remaining pieces of the score have been re-mixed and re-mastered.

Enjoy the music, and the game if you're into RTS :)

I am listenening since yesterday to 0 a.d. sound track and I found it really amazing.
As a gamer I would say it is at least at the level of the genre if not above.
As an amateur musician, I was surprised by the dynamics, so I was wandering what was played for real and what was played on a MIDI keyboard or written on an electronic score.
I know how hard it is to make your music alive while recording on a pc!
Keep up with the good work!

Great music. It's rising something in me everytime i hear it. Will we be able to buy an album version once, recorded with full live orchestra? :) And it is much better than Civilization V OST, for example. It's just... alive. Thanks!

Thank you both for your comments, I'm glad to hear you like the score!
Winterstorm- I don't yet know if there will ever be a fully recorded version of this score, but I'm certainly open to the possibility!
The whole score is available for free download on the bandcamp page, though :)

Fabio- it is my policy to record as much of the score as possible using live musicians. As of right now, all of the solo instruments were performed live, as well as about 90% of the percussion.
The orchestral sections and heavier percussion (timpani, etc...) are sampled, as is the Duduk from the Carthaginian tracks.

Thanks again,
