In 2022, Over My Dead Body has been nominated for a Best Scripted Series Emmy, and premiered at Cannes Film Festival's American Pavilion program, one of only 6 projects featured. The film's original soundtrack was featured at Dances With Films Festival's 2021 Musical Showcase event, at Hollywood's iconic TCL Chinese Theater.

Directed by Meital Cohen-Navarro, Over My Dead Body explores an internal conflict surrounding a family of Jewish immigrants from Iran, living in present-day Los Angeles. The film offers a window into the taboo subjects of religious intolerance and intermarriage outside of one's culture. When a young Jewish Persian-American woman tells her parents that her fiancé is Muslim, they make her choose between him and them.

Other accolades include San Luis Obispo International Film Festival's Best Narrative Short award, 2021, and nominations for Best Short Film in both the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival and the UK Jewish Film Festival.
