Times, they are changing... and I know I won't fit in unless you show.
Wish you could make it, 'cuz I can't remember how to walk alone.
Yesterday I met with two of my closest and oldest friends - Bar Guzi and Yotam Ronen, to go over all the drum parts and make sure we're on the same page before recording starts next week.
We ended up recording drafts for 6 songs, in under three hours!
I couldn't be happier with the results... Bar is so accustomed to my writing, that he's able to skillfully foresee my breaks and grooves before they occur!
There are only a handful of people in the world whose opinions I'd trust when it comes to my music.
One of the chosen few is Yotam Ronen - pictured here with his thinking cap on!
Usually, my daily "to do" lists consist of well over 20 items...
Today, there are three - edit the drum drafts, tailor bass parts over them, and find time for a work out!
Next week we begin recording the actual drums, 12 tracks, cool vintage mics, Neumanns, bigger room, homemade pizza... Needless to say, I am absolutely pumped!
We haven't even started recording, and the album is already sounding great :) I'm really looking forward to sharing these songs with all of you...
Thanks for listening, stay tuned for more tales from the studio :)
