2015 - A Year in Music

January 10, 2016

2015 was a uniquely challenging year for me.

I was making some changes in my life, working on getting my artist visa and preparing to move to Los Angeles - as well as recording an 11 track, debut solo album!

On top of that, I somehow found time to take part in some really cool projects, some of which are featured in this yearly video:

Early in the year, I was occupied almost solely with the critically acclaimed late night comedy, "Ron".

The first season was 13 episodes long, and required lots of different kinds of music, most of it was improvised and recorded live by myself and a team of musicians I brought together.

Here I am at the premiere, with bassist Yaniv Cohen and star / director, Ron Feldman:

In the 2015 Global Game Jam, I got to score three fun projects with good friends, Hadas Noam, Elad Drory and Oded Sharon!

Oded and I continued working throughout the year to advance Bolt Riley - A Reggae Adventure Game.

Work that is now nearing conclusion, as we enter the final stages of recording and mixing the score!

During CasualConnect 2015 in Tel-Aviv, Bolt won the Best in Show: Audience Choice award, and the nifty Best Game Audio award!

I got to visit my beloved London (twice!), meet my friend and collaborator Bob Gould, and see songs from Shadow on the Sun performed live by absolutely amazing West End singers!

In this clip, Michael Riseley and Keith Ramsay lend their talents to the play's title song:

The short comedy Jacqueline was finished (after many years in the making), and even went to the Amarcort Film Festival, in Italy!

The 0 A.D. soundtrack album was released, including a bonus track - a fun 8 bit rendition of the main theme song!

Another landmark release for me was Infy's debut album - A Mortal's Tear, which I produced along with Infy, and includes two songs I composed, and two more we composed together.

The album launch gig was a sold-out event and a smashing success, so much so that more shows were scheduled immediately!

As the year drew to a close, I got to score a funny trailer for the mobile game Angry Jew - a rare excuse for me to write some Jewish music, as well as bring in Asaf Levy to record some clarinet!

Early in 2016, I'm already neck deep in mixing the recently recorded drums for Bolt Riley, rehearsing for the upcoming Infy concert, finalizing the vocals for my album and making the next 0 A.D. track!

As always, thank you for listening - updates are coming very soon :)
