Early in December I was approached to score a trailer for a funny mobile game called "Angry Jew".
At first I didn't think I'll make it, with my album recording sessions, the upcoming London trip and ongoing work on Bolt Riley...
But somehow I managed to squeeze it in - and I'm really glad I did :)
This trailer required me to do something I've never really done before - write along the lines of traditional Jewish music.
I started drafting the score very simply, with just a piano outlining my melodic ideas - and luckily Avishai, the director liked them well enough!
I began coloring the music with drums, percussion, mandolin and accordion, and it was sounding great but something was still missing...
Enter Asaf Levy, an old friend and collaborator of mine, and quite the clarinet player!
Asaf's touch brought my music to life instantly, and I was really glad to have worked with him again :)
The trailer is funny, riddled with little jokes that anyone who knows a Jewish person would laugh at, as well as some geeky easter eggs to spot in the background, which is always fun :)
Here it is:
And right here you can check out a little suite I made from the various pieces of music used in the score.
If you like platformers, be sure to grab the game (for free!), it's quite fun!
As always, thanks for listening :)
